Directions

Leaving the M5 at Exeter continue on the Plymouth bound A38 to Buckfastleigh (signposted Totnes, Dartmouth) onto A384. At Totnes take the A381 (signposted Kingsbridge, Dartmouth) about 6 miles turn left onto the A3122 (sp Dartmouth) at Halwell. There is a BP filling station. Just under 2 miles you come to The Forces Tavern (public house) turn sharp left behind the pub. Continue barely ½ mile. Blackdown is at the bottom of the hill on the left. There is a sign on a stone pillar and a tarmac driveway through a field. (I would advise you not to take the sign for Washbourne on the A381 out of Harbertonford as it is very narrow and as with most farms we are not in the hamlet but nearer the Dartmouth Rd.)
